Conn Victor Short Model Cornet

This is the short model Victor cornet and it is shorter than the conventional model in so far as the opera glass tuning mechanism is in parallel with the Bell pipe as opposed to being in line with it. In other words the cornet is shorter by the width of the tuning slide. These are fairly scarce and This particular models has  now been refurbished, lacquer stripped cleaned up and  having two new valves and one  nickel plated to size. The spacer corks have been replaced with machined up bobbins of teflon type material making the valves fast and more reliable. The bore size on this Cornet is 0.460 making it more useable than the standard Victor which is a tiring 0.484 bore or there about

I find this to be a very good jazz horn and until I find something better I will hang on to it
