Besson Meha reconditioned

This is a Kanstul Besson Meha with a valve block from a British Besson.

It is an instrument I have had for a number of years which wouldn’t blow because of excessive corrosion wear in the third valve casing. As a retirement project I was able to spend more time than would have been commercially feasible in resurrecting the beast.

The valve block is from a British Besson which was in good playing order with good compressions etc. All of the relevant Kanstul parts have been retained including Bell, Lead pipe, Slides,Water keys etc. The only change was all the slide ends are from the Besson because of the slight difference in tube centres. The reconstruction was topped off with an expensive re-plate. It is now a very attractive trumpet that plays extremely well and is resident in a brand new case.

Again might trade against something that takes my fancy
